Amazon Affiliate Marketing For Beginners | 5 Steps To Make Money Without A Website

This post is for you if want to learn Amazon affiliate marketing even if you're a beginner.
Amazon is a powerhouse online store generating billions of dollars in revenue and people everywhere (who know about it) are cashing in on the opportunity.

There are several different ways to make money with Amazon, like: Amazon FBA, publishing books, and of course affiliate marketing, which is what we'll go over today.

5 Steps to Make Money As An Amazon Affiliate Without A Website

Step 1. Sign-up to Amazon Associates The first steps is to sign-up with the Amazon affiliate program called Amazon Associates. This is how you'll get links to promote products from the website and get paid.

Once you get your account time to move on to the next step.

Step 2. Pick a Product you want to promote After you've set up your affiliate account, log in and you'll see a search bar across the screen. This is where you'll search for products you'd like to promote. Once you find a product you want to promote, click on the right side of the product where is says "get links". There will be a URL you will need to copy. When someone clicks on this URL and buys from Amazon, you get paid!

Step 3. Create a Video About the Products Now you want to create a video about the product. There are many ways to do this, so here are some suggestions.

Get a screen capture software. All the following work great:

Screenflow (for Mac), or Quicktime (comes with all Macs)

Camtasia

Screencast-O-Matic (Web-Based) Once you've got a software to record your screen, use a presentation software to create a slideshow. Here are some recommendations for softwares:

  • Keynote (for Mac)
  • Powerpoint (for PC)
  • Google Slides (Web-based. I love this one)
  • VideoScribe (for Animated videos) If you don't want to create a video at all, I recommend going to Fiverr and paying someone to create it for you.

Create these types of videos for more cashflow:

  • Product review
  • Product vs product
  • Product best features These types of videos have buyer keywords, which means when someone is searching these terms they are more likely to buy through your link.

Step 4. Upload Your Video To YouTube Now, we need to put our video online so it lives on the internet. The best place to do this is YouTube. This is the second largest search engine in the world and gets hundreds of millions of views per day.

Simply create a YouTube account if you don't already have one. After you've logged into youtube, at the top right you'll see a little upload icon. Click that icon and it will bring you to a screen where you can upload your video.

After you upload the video, the real work begins in order for your video to be found.

Step 5. Optimize Your Video To Be Found With SEO (Search Engine Optimization Now that you've uploaded your video, before you hit publish, we need to optimize the video so it can be found.

Optimizing the video is basically telling Google and YouTube what the video is about.

Here's what you need to do:

First, make sure your video title is exactly what you think people will be looking for. Example: "DJI Mavic Pro Best Review".

Use the types of videos I showed you earlier as a guide.

Next, make sure your keyword (which is in your title) is also in your description a couple of times.
Also, if you can, try to use similarly related terms to your keyword.

Last step is to put keywords into your tags at the bottom of the video.

That's it, you're done.

Now, if you have a brand new YouTube account you won't be able to use a custom thumbnail, but if you are able to use one, definitely do so, it's very important to have a thumbnail that grabs attention.

Congrats, hit publish and do it all over again with another product.
